Shahnazi Violins

Trade-in & upgrade

Trade in or upgrade your instrument

Our relationship with an artist does not end when the violin is sold.

Our trade-in and upgrade policy

For every Shahnazi violin ever bought — in any year, of any model, level or generation — one principle holds: whenever a new generation of Shahnazi violins is released, the artist may return their Shahnazi violin to us and receive the new generation instead.

This is not limited by the year of purchase, the model or the generation. It makes no difference how long ago your violin was bought or which model and generation it belongs to. For us this is not merely an exchange option; it is part of our commitment to the artist and to their instrument.

Upgrade a Shahnazi violin

Move your Shahnazi violin to a newer generation or a higher model — with no limit on purchase year, model or generation.

Trade in another instrument

You own a non-Shahnazi instrument and would like to trade it towards a Shahnazi violin. We assess it and set its credit against the new instrument.

How a trade-in works

  1. 1Submit the request and describe your current instrument
  2. 2Expert assessment in the workshop
  3. 3Valuation and a trade-in credit offer
  4. 4You accept or decline the offer
  5. 5New instrument delivered, credit applied

Generations of Shahnazi violins

A “generation” traces how our knowledge and craft have evolved — but the number alone does not place one model above or below another. The model defines where an instrument sits in the collection; the generation records the history of how we build.

Build → experience → years in a player’s hands → feedback → points worth improving → revised structure → the next generation

A new generation is not the maker’s experience alone; it is the maker’s experience joined with that of players who have lived with the instrument for years. And the difference must be tangible: a player should not have to hunt for it.
